“From One to Twelve: The Unbelievable Journey of the Rogers Clan”

Nestled in the scenic landscapes of New Mexico, the Rogers family, led by the dynamic duo of Courtney and Chris, is gracefully navigating the exhilarating journey of parenthood with an impressive twelve-member ensemble. Their narrative unfolds as a tapestry woven with threads of love, organized chaos, and the undeniable joy that comes with nurturing a large and closely-knit family.

Courtney, the 38-year-old supermom, and Chris, her steadfast partner, recently welcomed their twelfth bundle of joy into the world on March 7, 2022. This latest addition only added to the vibrancy of the Rogers’ homestead on their New Mexico farm.

The path to a family of twelve was a surprising one for Courtney and Chris. When they embarked on their parenting journey, the notion of a dozen children was far from their minds. Reflecting on those early days, Courtney admits, “Back then, I had no inkling that I’d end up having more children. We initially capped it at 10, but feeling youthful and healthy, we stretched our goal to 12.”

The Rogers family tree now boasts Clint, 12; Clay, 10; Cade, 9; Callie, 8; Cash, 7; twins Colt and Case, 6; Calena, 4; Caydie, 3; Coralee, 2; Caris, 1; and the most recent addition, Cambria. A fascinating symmetry emerges with the first half of the brood being boys and the latter, girls.

Life in the Rogers household is anything but conventional. Mornings kick off with an 8 am breakfast, followed by engaging lessons in math and art. A hearty lunch around noon precedes a nap for the younger ones. Afternoons are a whirlwind of animal chores and diverse activities like language classes, art sessions, and shared reading time. Dinner is a substantial affair at 5 pm, featuring a daily consumption of 24 eggs and an entire cereal box.

Courtney’s role extends beyond motherhood; she serves as the primary educator, overseeing the homeschooling of her brood. Chris, in tandem with his responsibilities on the farm and home improvements, actively contributes to the daily routine. As Courtney underscores, “We’re a team. We work and homeschool together.”

Managing the budget for a large family requires precision, and Courtney has implemented a “no-spend January” policy, permitting only essential grocery purchases. The family adheres to a “no eating out or takeout” rule, and discretionary spending is closely monitored.

Sharing snippets of their distinctive journey, Courtney offers glimpses into their lives on her Instagram account, “Little House In The High Desert,” where she has amassed nearly 40k followers. Despite the joy within their bustling household, social media hasn’t always been a haven of support. Courtney acknowledges dissenting voices but finds solidarity among friends with similarly expansive families.

The Rogers family, cherishing the blessings of their close bond, eagerly anticipates the adventures that lie ahead. Their story unfolds as a testament to the resilience of familial ties and the beauty found amid orchestrated pandemonium.
