Buffalo Bills DT Ed Oliver Arrested for DWI and Illegal Weapon Possession

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver was reportedly arrested on Saturday night in Montgomery County for driving while intoxicated as well as one count of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

As first reported by The Montgomery County Police Reporter, a motorist called 911 on a driver in a white Ford Super Duty pickup truck with a “dune buggy” on the back as the driver of the vehicle was failing to maintain a lane and was driving dangerously in a 45 mile-per-hour construction zone.

A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy located the vehicle on Texas State Highway 242. The deputy would request a DWI certified officer to the scene.

Oliver was found with an open beer between his legs and was asked to perform a field sobriety test.

Bills draft Ed Oliver in the first round with the 9th overall pick

Oliver was brought in for a mandatory blood draw at the Kingwood Hospital before being taken to the Mongomery County Jail. Per the Montgomery County Police Reporter, a search of Oliver’s vehicle led to the discovery of a pistol.

The Bills released a statement early Sunday morning: “We are aware of the situation and we are gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this point.”
