If the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl, they might have Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes newborn baby to thank.
The quarterback provided a sweet update life as a father of three weeks after welcoming Golden Raye Mahomes into the world ahead of this weekend’s big game, revealing that “it’s always motivating whenever you have another baby.”
“I mean, just ’cause I want them to have the same experiences that the other two had,” Patrick—who also shares daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze,” 2, with Brittany—said at a Feb. 5 press conference ahead of Super Bowl LIX. “She’s been amazing. She’s been sleeping well. Mom’s been extremely happy.”
The 29-year-old added that he expects Golden to actually be at the game, which is set to take place in New Orleans Feb. 9, just shy of a month after her birth.
“I’m excited for her to be able to come,” he gushed. “I think this will be her first football game at the Super Bowl and hopefully we can get her a win.”

Regardless of what happens when Patrick, Travis Kelce and the rest of his team take on the Philadelphia Eagles, he’s looking forward to spending more time with his children during the off-season.
“I [can’t wait to] spend time with my kids,” he explained of his post-Super Bowl plans. “[During] football season, you take so much time away from those little memories that you have just taking your kids to gym class or whatever it is and taking them to school and stuff like that.”
“Whenever I get in the off-season, I try to spend as much time as I can with them,” Patrick continued, “and get to see what they do on a day-to-day basis and build those memories with them.”
And, if he thinks that gunning for a fourth Super Bowl ring will be challenging, just wait until the reality of being a dad of three sets in.
As Patrick explained, “Once football season’s over, I’ll be all hands on deck, and I got three of them now, so it’ll be a tough battle for me there, as well.”
One of his duties will surely be driving Sterling to soccer games, as she’s taken a liking to the sport that Brittany used to play professionally.
“We never had taught her to play soccer, but she had watched soccer games with us just from going to the Kansas City Current games with us,” Patrick told E! News in 2023 of Sterling’s affinity for soccer. “She literally started just kicking soccer balls into the goal. We never taught her how to kick, never taught her how to play. That’s just who she is.”
