So, what kind of a wedding gift do you buy a Super Bowl champ? Quite a few folks need to know during the Kansas City Chiefs offseason.
Safety Bryan Cook announced his recent marriage this week. Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is getting married Saturday in California.
And wide receiver Mecole Hardman announced his engagement last week.
“Love is in the air,” Chiefs Kingdom member Ann Hilton tweeted. “Mecole gets engaged, and now Bryan is married.
“Who’s next?”
Taylor Swift fans have their own thoughts on that.
Two athletes in the house
Cook announced his marriage in an Instagram post Monday, where several current and former teammates congratulated him. Travis Kelce, in Europe with girlfriend Taylor Swift, took time to like the post.
Jayla Thornton-Cook, a native of Newark, New Jersey, played basketball for Howard, George Washington and Syracuse universities while studying for a career in sports journalism.
On May 1, she posted a photo of herself and Bryan at their baby shower, writing, “so blessed and excited to meet our babygirl!!”
In what we now know was sort of a dress rehearsal for their big day, Jayla wore a satiny, light-colored, floor-length gown to the team’s Super Bowl ring ceremony at the Nelson Atkins-Museum of Art just a few days before their wedding.
“Mr. And Mrs. 2timez,” she wrote on Bryan’s Instagram post about that night when he got his second Super Bowl ring.
A getaway car?
Edwards-Helaire will marry JoJo O’Conner in California, according to their wedding information on The Knot.

O’Conner is a 2021 graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, where she received a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry and women’s studies, according to her Instagram.
She has shared videos and photos of her relationship with Edwards-Helaire, a Baton Rouge native, on her social media.
He is obviously sentimental. He gave her an eight-carat diamond because they met in 2008, she says in one of her posts.
And, apparently he proposed twice.

This week JoJo has posted TikToks showing the bustle of these last, pre-ceremony days. Getting their marriage license. His final tuxedo fitting. Pedicures, for both of them.
And they’ve already had their “something will go wrong moment.” That huge diamond fell out of her engagement ring and had to be reset.
They don’t offer many details on their wedding website yet other than the location.
O’Conner said in one of her TikToks that they are getting married at Hummingbird Nest Ranch, which is a Spanish Colonial villa in California’s Simi Valley that has been used in TV shows and for ABC’s “The Bachelorette.”

But Edwards-Helaire plans to have his 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air with him at the ceremony.
Another “getaway car” for Swift to sing about?
A proposal with style
Hardman proposed to girlfriend Chariah Gordon just a few days after the Super Bowl ring ceremony. The couple have two children.

Their first child, a son named Three, arrived on the day of the first Super Bowl Hardman won with the Chiefs last year. Chiefs fans won’t soon forget his all-caps tweet just hours before the game: “OMG HER WATER BROKE.”

They announced their engagement this month shortly after having their second child, a girl.
Gordon, who worked as a musician, is the founder of a skin care line called The GLO Collection, according to People magazine.
Hardman hard-launched their relationship on Instagram in February 2022 with a picture and a caption that read: “Bonnie and Clyde! I got my ride or die.”

He didn’t announce a wedding date, but it’s not likely to be before the Chiefs head to training camp next month.
He and the Chiefs have another ring to chase in the meantime.
