Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Victoria Kalina was seen celebrating her birthday all on her lonesome with her mom on Netflix’s addictive docuseries America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, and it was honestly pretty hard to watch. According to Victoria, her fellow DCC teammates were invited and skipped the event—but according to them? Not so much.
“We had an appearance that morning and that’s when Netflix had asked, ‘Hey, can we come film? Can we come celebrate with you?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah,'” Victoria said on the Be There in Five podcast (via Us Weekly). “So I word-of-mouth and vocalized, ‘Hey, Netflix is coming. There’s gonna be cake [and] the more the merrier.’ But, I guess it just didn’t trickle along.” She added that her comments always got “brushed aside.”
Apparently her fellow DCCers weren’t about to let this slide, because they flooded the comments. Jessica Bowman kicked things off by commenting “Would have loved to have been there to celebrate Victoria had I been given the opportunity. Praying she comes to realize how much the team really did support her ️.”
McKenzie Sherman then added, “I would have been there as well! One of my favorite things about DCC is that we know how to show up for each other. For Victoria, it’s no different, we would have absolutely rallied around her. 🤍
Then Kelcey Wetterberg chimed in with “We take bdays very seriously around here & would have been there if we had known! We decorated her locker per Dcc tradition, but we wish we could have been given the opportunity to be at her party 🤍”
And Zhenya Kolpakova added, “It breaks my heart that it has come to this. I hope you know that we support you, love you, and would never have just not shown up to your birthday. I would have LOVED to be there to celebrate you 🥺”
Oh! And Darian Lassiter posted “If invited, myself and others would have shown up. My teammates are the sweetest people and want to make every single girl feel loved, especially on their birthday. 🤍”
