The Dallas Cowboys star quarterback is once again in the headlines, but this time, not anything related to his contract situation and the rumored health crises. Dak Prescott has caught the attention of the internet over his delightful reaction to his former teaammate, Tyron Smith’s first dance with his lady at their wedding.
Having some spare time ahead of the training camp, the quarterback traveled all the way to Nevada to attend the wedding of the future Hall of Famer. The ceremony was held at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort, where the guests were in full spirit seeing the bride and groom breaking a leg on the dance floor.
Digging the traditional slow melody for the first dance, Smith gets on the dance floor to show some fabulous dance moves with his wife, Holly on rock music. The pictures and videos of the reception have gone viral on the internet, where the three-time Pro Bowler was seen totally stunned by the married couple’s first dance.
Smith left the Cowboys after 13 seasons and entered the free agency earlier in March. He later signed with the New York Jets in a one-year deal worth $6.5 million, which can increase up to $20 if the team succeeded with the Super Bowl victory.
Even though Smith left Dallas, he remained close to his former teammates. Along with Prescott, linemen La’el Collins and Cameron Erving also attended the wedding reception.
Dak Prescott addresses injury rumors clarifying his stance
Lately, there have been a lot of injury rumors about Prescott, as fans claimed he suffered an ankle injury during fishing and had to wear walking boots for some time. The rumor rose around the same time his record-breaking contract was in negotiation, but after the intensity of the rumors, the negotiation talk slowed down.
Prescott finally broke his silence on the subject via a post by Clarence Hill earlier this month. He claimed he was working on his knee to maintain it after the 2020 fracture. He also accused people of “reaching” to such levels.
The quarterback further clarified that the walking boots he was wearing were merely for precaution ahead of the 2024 regular season. Based on that, Prescott seemed to be still retaining the performance of his knee after the injury, from which he never fully recovered.
