Despite being the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and signing an eight-figure, four-year contract, he never made it to year four.
Lance started just four games in two seasons, before breaking his ankle in the second game of 2022. Then, in 2023, he couldn’t even secure backup duties behind incumbent starter Brock Purdy, leaving for the Dallas Cowboys shortly after (and honestly his time there isn’t going much better — Lance was the Cowboys’ third-stringer in their wild-card loss to the Green Bay Packers, who are slated to face the Niners in Santa Clara on Saturday).
And now, in his final act of severance from the Bay Area, he just sold his Morgan Hill home for less than he paid for it. (Not to mention the fact that the sale comes as his former teammates gear up for the start of a postseason teeming with Super Bowl aspirations.)
Lance bought the two-story, five-bedroom home in March 2022 for $3 million and sold it for $2.7 million earlier this month, according to the house’s Zillow listing.
The property at 640 Eagle Springs Court has a pool, putting green, gazebo and three-car garage. Prior to Lance’s purchase, it sold for $1.1 million in 2010.
